Christine is very personable and her enthusiasm for the game is contagious. She is also patient and a good communicator. She is very diligent as her follow-up videos and quizzes will attest. Christine was available after class and could be contacted easily with any questions. She gave us websites suggestion for practice and where to find a game. What I like best about this class was Christine: her kindness and patience and the way she introduced and taught the material. What helped me learn the best was the organization for the volume of information she had to teach. Her emails and quizzes were great. On a scale from 0-10 (10 saying the best), Christine was a “12”!!!!

Christine’s strength is her knowledge of the game and her patience. She explained everything clearly and answered all questions, even dopey ones. The hands on teaching strategy and the power point was what helped us learn the best. Also, playing, making mistakes, and strategies were explained as we went along. Overall, we loved the classes, it was great fun, and we look forward to playing regularly.

The best thing about our Mah Jongg class was the small size and the friendly people. It truly is a beginner class even though some had some background knowledge. Most of all, Chris kept everyone on topic to minimize confusion for the beginners (very important). We all learn differently and I thought Chris explained a game with lots of rules and unfamiliar tiles in a logical sequence, as simply as possible. The visual (projector) helped me greatly. Also, Q&A time. I never felt intimidated if I didn’t understand something right away and that was because of Chris’ demeanor.

You really do learn how to play. The instructions were comprehensive. The instructor provided very good instruction; there was no confusion in understanding the lesson. Christine made us feel safe and made leaning fun. Everything was great; I loved the way each class built on the prior one!
